DRUNK thrill seekers have left a children's zip wire broken since June. Night time revellers sought some boozed-up fun at Lydney's Primrose Hill play area back in the summer and succeeded only in breaking the newly installed zip wire.
Lydney Town Council is now pressing on with plans to lock up the equipment at night and hopes the ride could finally be repaired in time for Christmas. The council's chief executive officer Jayne Smailes said: "The contractors who installed it have been working at Heart of the Forest Community Special School but said they will hope to get to us before the new year."
