NIGHT workers at the former Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon company factory used to sleep on asbestos pillows because they had no idea the substance was dangerous, an inquest heard. Details of their exposure to asbestos during the 1950s and 60s emerged at the inquest into the death of William Gurney, of Denham Close, Tuffley, who died on March 17 at the age of 66.
