OH dear! What can Gloucester do with Blackfriars? In view of its past history of failed development plans and the considerable archaeological restraints on any digging whatsoever, the answer is not much.

So the city has what resembles a bomb site between the excellent Quays Centre, the neat residential flatland the Docks has become and the City Centre, which hopefully will be regenerated soon.
