WASTE collections in Gloucester could still be joined up with other councils.

Although yet to formally sign up, leader Paul James said the city council had not ruled out joining the Joint Waste Committee, which comprises of Cheltenham, the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire County Council and Tewkesbury. He explained the issue with their involvement in the scheme, which will aim to save Pounds 1.9 million in five years by streamlining services, was their current contract with Enterprise.
