Q: Bryan are you satisfied with how the season has gone? BR: IN terms of our position in the table I would say no. In terms of finding out how we needed to change and learn from this season I would say it had been very beneficial. The big challenge for us is how we react to the season we've just had.
The pleasing side of it, even though it was unsuccessful in some parts, is the spirit we're showing and the development we've had after 14 players left the season before. We're on the right track. We maybe got the balance wrong and became a bit heavy.
With the laws changing around the contact area we didn't look as sharp as we should have done, especially in the backs. The forwards have fronted up physically quite well. On a whole I'm disappointed. I wanted to be top six but that didn't happen. But there have been some pleasing parts to it as well. There were a lot more positives than negatives from November onwards.Now it's time to shift the mentality, which is a pre-season challenge.
