Your front page feature (The Citizen, April 27) was both accurate and timely. However, the proposal for more 1,750 houses at Innsworth is only the first tranche of plans for a total of 4,500 extra houses on land alongside Innsworth Lane up to the Imjin Army barracks and stretching northwards to the Hatherley Brook.

The increased flooding risks for Longford and Gloucester are well known but little consideration has been given to the traffic implications. If all the houses were built and each house owned two cars the traffic along Innsworth Lane into Longlevens and the junction at the Hare and Hounds traffic lights would overwhelm the road system.
