AS a victim of the 2007 floods I'd like to start by saying thanks for the magnificent work from your officers during the crisis. In your consultation it says you are looking to cut costs - would you still be able to cope if there was another emergency like the floods after the cuts? From Alney man Since the floods, I'm pleased to say that we've trained many more of our firefighters to operate safely and help.

We now have more boats and hovercraft and have recently entered into arrangements with Severn Area Rescue Association, a local rescue charity to provide even more responders should the rains come like that again.
