Summary


THE HOME SHOW 8pm, Channel 4 Buying at the top end of their budget has left the Cooper family needing long-overdue renovations, and mum's DIY disasters have made matters worse. Emotions run high when they hand over a big chunk of their savings to architect George Clarke in a bid to put things right. However to make George's dream scheme a reality, they must dig even deeper. There are tough decisions and an incredible transformation at the Coopers' Barnet home. Can George turn the Cooper residence back into a des res.

HEADSHRINKERS OF THE AMAZON -- REVEALED (Five, 8pm). You may think that headshrinking is nothing more than the creation of horror film directors, but you'd be very much mistaken. Instead, it's a process in which the skull is removed from a head and the skin boiled. If you're wondering why, it's because the act is believed to prevent the dead person's avenging soul from seeing the outside world. During the 1960s, what appeared to be a film revealing a headshrinking ceremony was discovered. Now Piers Gibbon wants to know if the footage is geniune, so he's hoping to follow in the footsteps of Polish explorer Edmundo Bielawski, who shot the original.
