Instead, it's a process in which the skull is removed from a head and the skin boiled. If you're wondering why, it's because the act is believed to prevent the dead person's avenging soul from seeing the outside world. During the 1960s, what appeared to be a film revealing a headshrinking ceremony was discovered.
