THIS week we have received several names for the young deer. Gertrude was the first name submitted but you'll be glad to know that it was not the favourite!

So her name is "Starlight" because her eyes shine and sparkle just like the stars. Starlight continues to do well and is feeding properly now and we are expecting her to make a complete recovery. Although she is still in the intensive care unit I'm sure that soon she will be able to go into a larger area, but we have to keep her warm for now.
