Shoe shop owner James Keitley has asked the Prime Minister to stamp out VAT until 2010 to help struggling small businesses.

Mr Keitley, who runs Campden Shoe Company in Chipping Campden, appealed to Gordon Brown to take urgent action to freeze tax which he says is crippling enterprises with under pounds150,000 annual turnover.
