Summary
SPONSORSHIP of jump-racing events such as last week's Cheltenham Festival is bringing Pounds 10 million a year to the sport. The majority of the sponsors say they are motivated by the use of corporate entertainment and hospitality to help drive sales and retain customers. Increasing brand exposure through the media and more generally increasing brand awareness were also reasons given for sponsorship. The findings come in a new report by Jockey Club Racecourses (JCR) and Racing Enterprises Limited entitled The Value of Jump Racing Sponsorship.
