I FEEL compelled to write to counter the dismissive, disingenuous and misleading comments made by Peter Rowland, head teacher of Severn Vale School, in The Citizen of October 13, regarding the concerns of the school's long-standing, directly affected neighbours.

Firstly, I must point out the directly affected neighbouring residents are fully supportive of the school's ambition to provide improved facilities and a more effective and inspirational learning environment for the benefit of its pupils and the surrounding community.
