THE Stuart Holmes Hair and Beauty Spa in Cheltenham has been named one of the top 100 employers in the UK for apprentices. The salon, based in Imperial Square, has been awarded a place by City & Guilds on the 2011 Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers List. The list, also run by the National Apprenticeship Scheme, highlights a range of sectors and employers that are engaged with apprenticeships. It honours each company's commitment to apprenticeships and its apprentices. Stuart, who was recently appointed Gloucestershire's Apprentice Champion for the Service Industries, said: "We are so pleased to have been awarded this position within the Top 100.

"Apprenticeships are the foundation of so many industries, and this list reflects that.
