THE extremities of the Forest District Council area are hinterlands for market centres beyond - Chepstow, Monmouth, Ross, and also Tewkesbury, which is not just a small town in an isolated loop of the Sever n.
This apparently remote town is a very successful colonial power, extending into areas far beyond its town boundaries, and colliding with the Forest unexpectedly somewhere close to Westbury. It also has tentacles around Gloucester and Cheltenham.See the full content of this document
