NEVER ones to back down from a challenge, Giffords Circus is re- imagining the epic Russian novel War And Peace for this year's tour.

Geese, pigeons, horses, hawks, clowns and musicians will be tackling Tolstoy's master work between May and September. New costumes, new choreography, new artistes, and an original score by the Giffords Circus band will be taken around the county starting in Gloucester on May 19 and travelling through Cheltenham, Broadway, Tackley, Stadhampton, Lechlade, Barrington, Frampton, Minchinhampton, Marlborough performing 85 dates in all. The tour ends in Cirencester in September.
