Summary

THE father of coma mum Leanne Gunnell has argued that the swine flu vaccine should be compulsory for pregnant women. Simon Gunnell spoke out after the Health Secretary revealed that almost three quarters of expectant mums have not received the seasonal flu injection. Leanne, 21, from Robinswood, remains in a coma but is in a stable condition as she continues to fight swine flu. Little Faith Charlotte was born at 8.19pm at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on November 30, weighing just 3lbs. But Leanne's family claims she was never offered a vaccine and say something has to be done to stop other pregnant women contracting the disease. Leanne's father Simon, 44, said: "Leanne wasn't asked about the vaccine or told she needed to have it. "It should be compulsory as soon as a woman becomes pregnant.
