STORY: High street retailer Marks Spencer has slashed the amount time consumers have in which return a purchase by nearly two- thirds. The group previously offered a 90-day 'no quibbles' returns policy, but has now cut this to 35 days. COMMENT: "Poor old M&S has been exploited for years by some members of the public, and now the public that have genuine reasons for returning goods will find it more difficult to do so. This strikes me as being a sequel what is happening in this country with everything we do."

HW, CHELTENHAM COMMENT: "Thirty-five days is more than enough to decide whether you like an item or if it fits.
