APPLE Computer founder and multi billionaire Steve Jobs identified innovation as being the thing that "distinguishes between a leader and a follower".

This week we turn our attention to innovation in our Growing Business - the Big Conversation campaign, which we are running together with Business Link, Solutions for Business, GWE Business West and with funding from the European Regional Development Fund. Research undertaken by NESTA reveals that just six per cent of UK businesses generate over 50 per cent of new jobs. Found in all sectors and across all locations, there is just one thing that all these vital six per cent of businesses have in common - innovation.
