I WOULD like to start by wishing all readers a happy new year. I hope that 2011 turns out to be a good year for you and your families and friends.

The year 2010 certainly went out with a bang, with all the snow and freezing temperatures, especially in Gloucestershire. In Northern Ireland people lost their water supplies, which is a problem we in this area are familiar with, and a large number of people have been unwell over this period.
