FOREST MP Mark Harper believes his constituency should be named West Gloucestershire rather than the Forest of Dean.

The Conservative MP has broken his silence over constituency boundary proposals by submitting his own response to the Boundary Commission for England's proposals. He has called on the commission to explore its options, but still backed the transfer of electors from Gloucester to his constituency, and the re-naming of it from "Forest of Dean" to "West Gloucestershire".
