Given the history of the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy, with all its waste, excesses and corruption, we should not be surprised by the recent news about fish being thrown back dead into the sea having been already caught.
But even by the EU's extravagant wastefulness, it is indeed wrong and immoral that between 40% and 60% of caught fish are thrown back dead because of the quota system which exists.See the full content of this document
