WEDNESDAY: GLOUCESTER: Climate issues are coming to Gloucester next week as part of a three-year development, gender and climate change educational campaign.
Headed by the National Federation of Women's Institutes, Oxfam GB, the Everyman Foundation and the Department for International Development, the campaign is aimed at WI members and their families, though everyone is welcome. This event is to explain the key goals of the campaigning that is to take place during this penultimate year. These eight goals are internationally accepted as the Millennium Development Goals: reduce poverty; educate every child; equal chances for girls and women; reduce child and maternal deaths; ensure safe and healthy motherhood; fight infectious diseases; clean up the environment; and build a global partnership for development. The guest speakers will expand on the eight goals and various other climate change issues.See the full content of this document
