Summary


I WAS moved to read Richard Graham sharing his thoughts about his mother who sadly developed dementia and died last year (The Citizen, September 18).

It can be hard to speak out about this condition, especially when it is about a member of your own family, but thankfully more people are doing so, and people in the public eye are ambassadors for bringing the cause of the growing numbers of people who develop dementia into the public debate on how they are, or should be, treated and cared for.
