Two Gloucester men subjected a recovering drug addict to a brutal revenge beating armed with a samurai sword and hammer, a court heard.

After inflicting a gaping wound to Rod Cunningham's legs as he tried to escape in Gloucester's Falkner street, Gias Miah, 24, and Hietam Jaouhar, 18, fled the scene, it was alleged.
