SINCE Churchdown Choral Society was founded in 1983, the vast majority of concerts have been held in the village either in the community centre, Chosen Hill School or St Andrew's Church. The few exceptions have been when the choir has joined up with other choirs and orchestras for performances in venues such as Gloucester Cathedral.
So, it was with a huge leap of faith the committee decided to take the Easter concert to All Saints Cheltenham. With 70 singers and an orchestra of around 45, the church with its beautiful acoustics seemed to be the perfect setting. However, with 300 seats to fill the challenge was considerable, with all the other live music being performed in the area.See the full content of this document
