Marguerite Hazell 01452 713 919 THE organising group of the Churches Together in Churchdown and Innsworth Festival of Hands event is very happy to announce the profit from the festival weekend is Pounds 2,304.90. When planning took place it was decided any profit made would be donated to work for prosthetic hands. With this intention in mind they looked carefully at the options and felt the Meningitis Trust should be the beneficiary.
The Meningitis Trust has agreed with the request made for the use of the donation. The money will be deposited with the Financial Grants Department and will be used for those who have suffered loss of limbs through contracting the disease of meningitis. It is wonderful to be able to give a helping hand to such a worthy cause, so thank you to everyone for your great support :-Betty Stinton, Dorothy Bone, George Govan, Helen Marcus, Una Davies, Lyn Waring, Edna Seymour-Westborough and Catherine Rowland. The season ended for Chosen ladies Probus club with a talk about yoga by secretary Joan Rowley, and in-chair exercises, followed by lovely refreshments at the Chosen coffee shop the day before it's official opening by the Major of Tewkesbury Borough.See the full content of this document
