Summary


LAST Saturday at Prestbury Park a lifetime's dream came true when we had our very first Cheltenham winner with Benbane Head.

Benbane Head is the first racehorse that Louise Jones has owned, although her husband Andrew used to own horses quite a few years ago. Our bloodstock agent Gerry Hogan saw Benny win his only Irish point-to-point and secured him in a private deal. He won first time out for us at Uttoxeter and went on to finish 10th in the Champion Bumper at the Festival. Warren Marston was buzzing about the way he stayed on up the hill that day and told us we must take him back to Cheltenham and he'd be hard to catch over three miles. After extensive schooling over hurdles we saw an opportunity to run Benny at Cartmel as, hopefully, an easy introduction.
