THREE years ago, Gloucestershire County Council was forced to deal with the biggest challenge it had ever faced when two months rain fell in just 14 hours.

Realistically, we know we can't rule out another flooding episode completely, but a lot has been done to ensure this county is prepared as far as possible. Looking to the future, much of our work will focus on helping people to help themselves.
