Andrews Looking to Make His Mark

Evesham's Simon Andrews has vowed to put his impressive World Superbikes debut to good use as he bids to get his ViSK British Superbikes campaign back on track at Knockhill this weekend. The MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider took one race to find his feet in his maiden World Superbike outing at Donington Park last Sunday, coming home a satisfactory 20th, having qualified in 26th.

Kilby Gets Off the Mark at Silverstone

Laurie Kilby from Gloucester claimed his first race victory of the year when he was first to the chequered flag at Silverstone. Kilby won the sixth round of the LMA Euro Saloon and Sports Car Championship and set a new Silverstone lap record for the championship at the same time.

Local Drivers Get in the Mix at Prescott

One driver dominated proceed- ings at the Prescott Hill Climb as the Bugatti Owners Club played host to rounds 11 and 12 of the Avon/ BMTR Top Ten Challenge and the Midland Hill Climb Championship. Aylesbury's Trevor Willis, driving his 2.8 litre OMS CF06, was never headed all weekend.

Dramatic Finale Sees Eynott Take Second

Youngster Mark Eynott experienced a thrilling end to his Castle Combe season but had to be content with second in the Spring Junior Karting Championship. A total of 66 drivers took part in the series, in which 12-year- old Eynott, from Sling, had earned the "rookie of the year" title last year.
