Rifles Are Pride of the City

Heers echoed around the streets of Gloucester as thousands turned out to applaud heroes from 1Rifles. The crowds proudly clapped and waved Union flags as more than 200 soldiers fresh from the frontline in Afghanistan took part in a homecoming parade through the city on Saturday. Ozens of jobs have been lost in Gloucestershire after a car firm went into administration. Staff at Brooklyn Toyota dealerships in Cheltenham and Gloucester learned of the news last week. The job losses come after the Brooklyn Motor Group went into administration and are believed to affect 40 people in Ramsdale Road, Gloucester.
