A THEATRE company is taking its Beauty And The Beast show to the Forest of Dean. The Fairgame Theatre, based at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, will be performing at 6.30pm on Saturday, November 7, at Huntley Village Hall.

A 16-YEAR-OLD sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in a city park. The Gloucester teenager pleaded guilty to touching the girl sexually against her will and then to assaulting her, by pushing her away, on October 19, city youth magistrates were told this week.

FRUIT fans can enjoy an apple juicing day at a farm near Stroud this weekend. Westley Farm in Chalford is holding the event on Sunday to promote the idea of not wasting apples. A spokeswoman said: "Every year we all see hundreds of apples rotting in the grass - what a shame, when it is so easy to make the most delicious juice.

Recycling Team Reveal Savings

STAFF at the Furniture Recycling Project said it has saved on carbon emissions equivalent to 200 flights full of passengers from London to New York in a Jumbo Jet, since opening in 1996. The project has now supplied over 150,000 items to Gloucestershire's community, offering a greener alternative to landfill.

WHEN a teenager encountered Diesel the drugs dog at Gloucester railway station he ended up in court. For the British Transport Police sniffer dog detected drugs on the 17-year-old Stonehouse boy, the city youth court heard on Thursday.

I AM writing to express both my anger and disappointment with car drivers who failed to stop and help my young nephew who, unfortunately, fell from his moped on Thursday, October 22 at a roundabout just off the Coney Hill road. It was very wet and slippery and he skidded on the road. He was thrown across the pavement and nobody stopped to check if he was OK! Cars drove on, not even stopping to see if he was badly hurt.
